The vision of the Ghana Health Mission (GHM) is to enhance cross-cultural understanding and cooperation between individuals and communities in the United States and Ghana through collaborations in health care, education, and economic development.

GHM fulfills this vision by organizing groups of professionals and students from health care and other professions for short-term, nonsectarian trips in Sekondi-Takoradi, Ghana.

GHM serves two purposes: to provide quality services to the people of Sekondi-Takoradi in the Western Region of Ghana and to foster cultural awareness and competence among North American professionals.

GHM missions are "hands-on" rather than merely opportunities to observe. The emphasis is on providing direct services to the local population within the areas of expertise of mission participants while interacting positively with members of the community.

If you want to learn more about another culture, apply your skills as you have never done before, and learn more about yourself as a professional and a person, come and join a GHM mission.

GHM is tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code
