Approximate Costs

Approximate costs for a trip:

  • a visa through the Consulate of Ghana  ($50)
  • airfare to and from Accra, Ghana (varies)
  • Ghana Health Mission Fee of $900 includes:
      • ground transportation to and from Sekondi 
      • transportation to and from GHM clinics and tours of local clinics and hospitals in the Sekondi-Takoradi area 
      • room and board while in Sekondi 
      • purchase of medications and supplies used during GHM clinics 
      • contribution towards a fund to pay for critical health services that GHM cannot provide, such as surgery 
      • GHM administrative fee

We suggest that you bring an additional $200-300 to cover out of pocket expenses such as the cost of hotel rooms in Accra on the first and last nights, meals eaten away from the church compound, and incidental purchases of local products.
